Sexy Singer and Actress Mandy Moore

Amanda Leigh Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on April 10, 1984 to Don (an airline pilot) and Stacy (a former news reporter). As a child, she performed the National Anthem at several athletic events around her hometown of Orlando, Florida, and became known as the National Anthem girl. At the age of 14, she signed a record deal with Sony 550 Music. At 15, her first record "So Real" was released. Her second CD effort, I Wanna Be With You (2000) featured in the movie Center Stage. Her first tour was with the Backstreet Boys. As her touring and recording schedule demanded more of her time, Moore withdrew from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando and opted for a tutor. In between releasing albums, she attended Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs.

Moore ventured into Hollywood when she appeared in a small part in the movie The Princess Diaries (2001). Her first leading role was in "A Walk to Remember" (2002). She had also appeared in "Magic Al and the Mind Factory" and "Dr. Doolittle 2" (voice). She stars in How to Deal (2003). Her other movies include Chasing Liberty (2004), Saved! (2004), Romance & Cigarettes and Racing Stripes (voice). Moore returned to her music and released a fourth album titled Coverage (2003). Her biggest dream is to perform on Broadway someday.
