Vet to Mariah Carey : Mariah Carey over bills for pets' care

New York veterinarian Cindy Bressler sued Mariah Carey today in Manhattan state court for $30,000, the Associated Press reports. Bressler claims the pop star hasn't paid for the services rendered for three of her beloved dogs, Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ.
Bressler provided "extraordinary services" for the Jack Russell terriers — Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ — but the Grammy Award-winning singer paid only about $8,200 of the roughly $37,800 in charges, the lawsuit says. The bills cover a little more than a month of care.


Micheal C. Posner, Bressler's lawyer, wouldn't elaborate on the dog treatments.
Carey's spokeswoman didn't immediately respond to telephone and e-mail messages.
The pop diva has made her dogs something of characters in her multiplatinum-selling career, including in some comic video sketches made as part of an MTV.com promotion and posted on YouTube. In one, she and JJ compare the fit of their jeans: "I told you those `fat-free' dog treats weren't fat-free," she scolds.
She also regularly chronicles her dogs' doings on her Twitter feed, from Cha-Cha urinating on her dressing room floor and jumping on her last September to Dolomite stealing her underwear out of a suitcase while she was vacationing in March.

U.S Singer Mariah Carey has a smell for perfection! The R&B diva recently added a new line to her perfume empire called Lollipop Bling and this time her hubby Nick Cannon was the inspiration.


When the singer Mariah Carey and her husband, the actor and rapper Nick Cannon, appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last September, Mr. Cannon told of how he proposed in 2008: he presented Ms. Carey with a Ring Pop, the gem-shaped lollipop on a ring. Inside the package was a proper engagement ring. Upon hearing the story, executives at Elizabeth Arden, the cosmetics company that since 2007 has sold a Mariah Carey fragrance collection, began to develop a proposal of their own.
Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Bling, three fragrances that Elizabeth Arden based on candy flavors and that will appear in stores soon, is the product of a partnership with the Topps Company, which makes Ring Pops. Print advertisements for the perfume in August issues of publications like Cosmopolitan, Elle and People Style Watch will show Ms. Carey wearing three Ring Pops.
After hearing Mariah’s story on Nick’s ring-pop proposal, Elizabeth Arden ran with the idea and decided to launch a full out perfume line based on candy flavors. Three different fragrances will be released on July 1st and are selling at $35 a bottle. They are also named after Carey’s songs so far Mariah Carey’s perfume line has grossed over $150 mil…this probably won’t do too bad either!!

Born in Long Island, NY, as the daughter of a former opera singer and vocal coach -- and named after the song "They Call the Wind Mariah" from the popular Lerner and Loewe musical Paint Your Wagon - Mariah began singing at the age of four, and was writing her own songs by the time she was attending Oldfield Middle School. She moved to New York City, the day after graduating from high school. Honing her songwriting skills and lending her vocals to several local acts, she first garnered industry attention when singing backup for Brenda K. Starr, who gave Mariah's demo tape to Sony Music Entertainment chief Tommy Mottola at a party.
