Sunny Leone was born on May 13, 1981, in Toronto, Canada. She spent the majority of her carefree and innocent childhood relishing the long Canadian winters, and would often devote entire days to outdoor pursuits, such as ice skating and building snowmen. Sunny established herself as a natural performer from an early age, trying her hand at everything from singing to dancing to acting. She was even something of a tomboy in her adolescence, showing a palpable affinity for a variety of different sports.

In 1996, when Sunny was just a teenager, her family pulled up stakes in Toronto and headed for the comparatively scorching landscape of California. Although it wasn’t exactly a smooth transition, Sunny was determined to make the best out of her new situation. It was during one fateful English class that a fellow classmate mentioned that she should give modeling a try, and even provided Sunny with an agent’s phone number.
